Come celebrate Earth Day by volunteering to help clean up our St. Marys River. This is our 20th Anniversary of the Annual River Clean Up – saving the planet and our rivers one piece of trash at a time. Earthkeepers will be starting at the Dee Dee Bartels boat ramp, April 22, at 9:00 am and working our way north along the river through Ft. Clinch, ending at 11:00 am. To sign up for that location, email us through this link.
You can also pick the location nearest to you and sign up on the St Marys Riverkeeper Facebook page (check “Fernandina Boat Ramp” for Dee Dee Bartels or choose a location closer to you).
Come be a part of helping our river be fishable, swimmable, and drinkable. An hour after volunteering, river clean up participants ONLY are invited to White Oak Conservation Center for a volunteer appreciation event! You must have a wrist band to enter White Oak, no exceptions. Wrist bands will be passed out at each clean up site. All you need is your work gloves and your refillable water bottle. Trash bags and bins will be provided.
At this unique Earth Day event volunteers will receive free hot dogs, refreshments, and the chance to meet with conservation partners and special guests! Not on Facebook or email? To Volunteer Sign Up here!!
